There is one thing that is clear without a doubt, starting a small business is becoming increasingly harder year after year. More & more initial capital is necessary to make a business work, banks are unwilling to lend money, small entrepreneur’s own capital is very limited. There are quite a good number of valid business models around the country that would eventually work, the problem is that it goes negative for quite a long time before it becomes positive and people with small budget simply can not afford it. Some of them have to sell their businesses right before it starts becoming profitable at bargain prices because they hit the wall. If you don’t have more money to go on then you don’t have more money to go on. On some level it’s pretty frightening and very few honest & good people make it there nowadays. Many starters are likely to get involved in some shady plots to make things happen. Despite of the fact that whatever they do is generally not illegal, one may wonder about their ethics, and truth to be told, you can’t even judge them within current reality and circumstances. So yes, the small business model is facing some serious struggles, and worse times are most likely ahead. But let’s concentrate on why this problem is arising.
You may often hear people complain about large corporations, in fact it has become so common that it’s almost mainstream. Odd, but in today’s world that old hippie movement is passing on with different colors & shades. Remember those large gathering or concerts where thousands of people get high, complain about corporation over & over and do nothing to make the world a better place. Well, it’s the same thing, only everybody might be dressed up slightly better & doesn’t look like a drug addict. They all still complain all they long and at the end of the day they go for shopping from their favorite large corporations. If it ain’t hypocrisy then what is it? The bottom line, the only solution that comes from these people is brake, rob, take and this type of nonsense, so it could be that them getting high or getting their next worthless & pointless peace of garbage from another superstore is not that bad. If you really hate the large corporations that much & you really like the small businesses, then support small businesses. What’s the best way to support them? Do business with them, it’s really that simple.
My point is you choose your environment by choosing where you spend your money. Choosing where you spend your money has quite larger impact than just how many eggs & apples you are taking home tonight. It’s really up to each individual to decide for themselves. If you think that large corporations are taking over everything & you want to blame somebody, try to look in the mirror, that somebody might just be you. Choose wisely where you spend you money.
